How Auricular Neurostimulation Works
OhmBody works through transcutaneous auricular neurostimulation (tAN): gentle stimulation of the vagus and trigeminal pathways at the ear, where these nerves sit close to the surface of the skin.
Part of the OhmBody evidence hub.
From the ear to the nervous system
Stimulating these pathways modulates pain signaling and increases parasympathetic ("rest and recover") activity through the vagus nerve, influencing how the brain and body communicate. There is nothing implanted and nothing to swallow.
Why it may help with bleeding
The nervous system plays a role in how the body regulates blood flow, including how platelets respond and prepare during the menstrual cycle. OhmBody's approach works with that system.
